Stanhope Eagle - May 24, 1922 issue
Waterloo station, on Monday, with the permission
of the Public Utilities commission, had its agent and telegrapher, J.W.A.
Lee, removed, making it a non-agency station, with caretaker in charge.
The express and freight will be billed through Hackettstown.
Since the Sussex Railroad was run into Netcong in 1902, business has
been comparatively small. Mr. Lee had been operator for twenty three
years previous to that time at Waterloo, and was made its agent ten
years ago, and is now retired on a pension.
