Whitfield N. Gray

Whitfield N. Gray died last Saturday morning at his home in Hackettstown, from Bright's disease, which attacked him a few months ago. Mr. Gray was born at Newton, December 18, 1845, and was a son of Robert and Phoebe Gray. He entered the employ of the Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad Company December 1, 1867, at Madison, being transferred to Waterloo as station agent June 7, 1870, and held the position until his death. He had lived in Hackettstown since February 25, 1892. He is survived by his widow, two sisters, Mrs. E. D. Coe of Morristown, and Mrs. Frances Hamilton, of Madison, and one brother, Andrew Gray, of New York. Funeral services were held at the home Tuesday morning, and interment made in Evergreen Cemetery, Morristown.
