James French Dead

Notice is printed elsewhere of the death of James French, the large real estate holder of Byram township, at the great age of 92 years. Mr. French was one of the most notable residents of his township. For years out of mind, his sightly home to the north of waterloo has been noted by Lackawanna R. R. passengers. Mr. French was possibly one of the oldest members of the New York State Historical Society. He had planned to attend the fourteenth anniversary of the Sussex County Historical Society and the Hill Memorial Building the present week. He was a great lover of good verse, and had himself contributed to poetical life some very nicely composed poems, of which he was very justly proud. His death occurred at Hoboken and interment was at Philadelphia.
