To those who travel mostly by rail,
a great convenience would be afforded oftentimes by a passenger train
being connected to the engine which returns from Branchville at 10:30.
Passengers from Newton or elsewhere who come at 9:20, and who might
wish to return soon, are obliged to await until 1:20.

The livery business of this place
is made quite some better by the R.R. officials calling out Branchville
Junction and then not calling out Lafayette distinctly, when they reach
this station. As a result quite a number of passengers stop at this
station, thinking they are at Branchville or some way are under the
impression that the next station after leaving Branchville Junction
should be Branchville.
