Final Passage . . . Andover Borough--The Phoebe Snow, glamorous passenger train on the Erie-Lackawanna Railroad, streaks through Sussex County over Route 206 underpass on its final trip to the west. Inaugurated about 1900 to publicize the fast, clean service, Phoebe was a familiar sight on the Lackawanna Cutoff through Sussex County after 1910, except for lapses during World Wars I and II. Now the train has been officially discontinued and made its last westbound run on Sunday.
