Engineer Directed to Make Center Line Survey of New Alignment of Road to Branchville Junction

(excerpt)

Town Engineer, William J. Hardin, was directed to make a center line survey of the proposed new alignment of the road from Sparta Avenue to Branchville Junction, at the monthly meeting of the Town Committee Tuesday night. The change in the line of the road is being made in conjunction with Andover Township. The present route in the town is narrow and crooked. It is proposed to follow the railroad road bed to the town line at the Ira Case farm. Within the town limits the new route lies over property of the Hyper Humus Company. The company is willing to give the right of way, but wants the part taken sketched on a map of its property, which the engineer was also directed to do. In Andover township a new right of way across the Case farm will be followed.
