Sussex Register - From the February 20, 1913

The papers have much to say of the new railroad station and other improvements the Lackawanna is doing for Morristown but fail to mention what has been done for Newton. At least nine new planks have been put in the depot platform since January 1, all guaranteed to stand the impact of the heaviest trunks. Then the doors have all been fitted with massive brass locks with back plates and latches of colonial design. There is nothing finer of the kind in New "York. If there was some of those noble ginks down there would unscrew them and sell them for junk. We are in a position to use the old phrase "Small favors thankfully received, larger ones in proportion."
