Sussex Register - November 30, 1911 issue
(Lafayette Section)

On Friday morning last [Nov. 24] the station at Branchville Junction was entirely consumed by fire. When discovered at an early hour the fire had made such progress that all efforts to save it were useless. The origin is unknown. Officials of the D. L. & W. visited the place on Saturday, and it is said a new building will be erected as soon as possible. The loss of the building and its contents is unfortunate, not only to the company, but to the public who are obliged to wait at this important centre for other trains.
