Cranberry Lake Hotel Burned

The Cranberry Lake Hotel and contents were destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon. The fire was discovered as Charles Minnard, the proprietor, and his wife, were eating dinner, and is believed to have started from a defective flue. About 200 feet of the platform of the Lackawanna Railroad station was burned. The loss is estimated at $10,000. The hotel was owned by Cranberry Lake Amusement Company, in which Newton parties held interests.
