Work Suspended At The Depot

Work on the improvements in the freight yard at the Newton station was suspended last Wednesday afternoon and the force of men were sent to another point on the main line of the Lackawanna to complete a job of work. The machinery had all been placed in position and ground broken for the driving of the piles when word was received from the officials to suspend work. We are informed that the plans for the new turn table were not satisfactory, and that as soon as new plans are drawn and submitted to the company work will be resumed and all the contemplated plans of improvements at this station will be carried out.
