Stanhope Eagle - June 19, 1901 issue
The railroad company are changing their tracks for the inception of the Sussex railroad terminal at this station. A large gang of workmen was put at work on Monday to change the switch between the east and west bound main tracks into the west bound main track and the present main line track will be used for the Sussex road from the lower crossing to the overhead bridge where the Sussex road will unite with the main line at present. We have been informed that the latest project is to have a stone station built a little nearer the crossing than the present one, and the present building will be moved further westward and utilized as a freight house.
