Sussex Register - August 4, 1881 issue
The Sussex milk train made its last trip to McAfee on Sunday afternoon, and hereafter the Warwick Valley Railroad will control the route between that place and Franklin, where the connection will be made. It is understood that for the present the only connection will be made with the afternoon milk train going north from Newton, but at an early date the noon connection will be resumed. This change again disarranges the mails for Vernon, etc., but it will be a temporary inconvenience. All rumors in circulation about changes in the employees have not been verified, and as President Sloan, Supt. Reasoner and other officials are to make a tour of the road this week (probably today), we shall hear the result before many days.
