The Franklinite Company have commenced the work of changing the bed of the Wallkill at Franklin, from the west to the east side of the valley, by digging out a new course for the stream near the Zinc Mines. When completed, the water, at the turn will run at right angles with the new stone arch bridge recently erected in front of the Franklin House.
